Tea Sandwich & Pastry Ideas

Misc.

I've read through all the previous posts regarding teas and have copied some of those recipes, but what I'd like to know is if anyone has any more great tea sandwich fillings or really specially sweets to use.

I'm in charge of a tea for our Ladies' Fellowship at church. There will probably be about 50 to 60 ladies present. I've decided to make it an Old Fashioned Tea. Our theme for this year is Let's Quilt a Memory and one of our projects is each of us is designing a quilt square and one of our older ladies has agreed to quilt them for us so we'll have a memory and a friendship quilt which will be hung in a place of honor in our new church building.

My idea is to use a quilt for a cover on the tea table and perhaps some old hats and photos arranged to make the centerpiece. This is about our 5th or 6th year to do it and I'd like to have some new and yummy recipes to serve. Everyone has decided they have favorites from previous years, but I'd like to expand a little. Of course, we have to have cucumber sandwiches and one of our ladies always makes mini-cream puffs. Beyond that, I'm open. Anyone with some great ideas for me. Thanks.
