Recipe: Oatmeal Rocks (cookies)

OATMEAL ROCKS

1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups oats
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a cookie sheet.

With a mixer, cream together shortening and sugar; add eggs.

Combine flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture and stir to combine.

Stir in oats, raisins, and nuts. Gradually add mil, adding only enough milk to make a stiff dough. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet 1 inch apart.

Bake about 14 minutes at 350 degrees.
