Recipe: Onion Dips with Cottage Cheese (3)

Onion Dip
1 Cup Cottage cheese
1 Tablespoon Lemon juice
1/2 Cup Plain yogurt
1/4 Cup Green onion, chopped
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Pinch Pepper
This can be a base for other dips. Add herbs, spices or others as desired. Process cottage cheese with lemon juice until blended. Add other ingredients. Process just until mixed. Refrigerate overnight.

Cottage Cheese Dip
1 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
2 ounces Monterey jack cheese, grated
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 tablespoon onion soup mix
2 tablespoons minced onion
Combine cottage cheese, sour cream and cheese. Add onion soup mix, peppers, green onion and cayenne; mix well. Chill to allow flavors to blend.

Onion Skinny-Dip
1/4 cup skim milk
2 cups creamed cottage cheese (small curd)
1 envelope dry onion soup mix (about ll 1/2 ounces)

Place skim milk and cottage cheese in blender. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, about 4 minutes. Stir in onion soup mix. Cover; refrigerate at least 1 hour.
