Recipe(tried): Pistachio Whiskey Cake

Hi Martina: Welcome back....Kennya huh? Very interesting...Whiskey Cake was also a favorite with my dad:

PISTACHIO WHISKEY CAKE

1 package vanilla cake mix
eggs
vegetable oil according to package instructions
1/2 C water
3/4 C whiskey
1 package instant pistachio pudding (1 serving size)
1 C maraschino cheeries, chopped
1 C walnuts, chopped
2 C chocolate chips

Prepare cake mix as recommended; use the same amount of eggs and oil but 1/2 C water and 3/4 C whiskey for the liquid.

Blend in the pudding mix and fold in the cherries, walnuts and chocolate chips.

Bake in greased and floured bundt pan for 50-60 minutu at 350 degrees. Let cool before adding glaze:

GLAZE:

2 C confectioners sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 T butter, softened
3 - 4 T milk or light cream
Colored sprinkles

Beat all ingredients together to make a smooth glaze. Drizzle over cooled cake and add sprinkles if desired.
