Breads - Bread Machine
POPPY SEED EGG BREAD

"This is a beautiful shaped and tasty loaf of bread. It makes excellent toast. The loaf rose so nice and had great texture. I used the dough cycle and then shaped and let rise again in 9x5-inch loaf pan. I baked at 375 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes."

3/4 cup water, 70 to 80 degrees F
1/4 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
3 cups bread flour
1 3/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

In bread machine pan, place all ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer. Select basic bread setting. Choose crust color and loaf size if available.

Bake according to bread machine directions checking dough after first 5 minutes of mixing. Make any necessary adjustments.

NOTE: Use of the timer feature is not recommended.
