Recipe: Poppy Seed Preparation for Slovak Poppy Seed Rolls

POPPY SEED PREPARATION FOR SLOVAK POPPY SEED ROLLS

1 cup poppy seeds: Pour boiling water over the seeds and drain. Cover with lukewarm water and soak for 1/2 or longer. Drain over a fine sieve. Grind the seeds using the finest blade. Add honey or sugar, grated lemon rind, and nuts.
