Recipe(tried): Punch Recipes for a Shower (4) for Susie from Lansing
BeveragesI have made and served all these except the tangy punch recipe. The second one, Summerberry Punch is superb and I think might be closer to what you are looking for. My second favorite one is the almond and although it isn't a fruity one is superb. Hope these will help!
ALMOND PUNCH
1 small (3 oz) box lemon jello dissolved in 2 cups boiling water
2 1/2 cups sugar
5 cups cool water
1 large can pineapple juice
8 oz lemon juice
1 oz almond extract
2 liters ginger ale
Mix Jello and sugar and stir to dissolve.
This is a wonderful recipe I made up one day from items in my pantry. It is what I make now for every party.
SUMMERBERRY PUNCH
1 large container frozen strawberries, thawed
1 large can pineapple juice
1 large can white grape juice
1 heaping scoop strawberry lemonade Kool aid (with sugar added kind)
1 (2-Liter) bottle of ginger ale
Whirl strawberries in blender or food processor until liquidy.
Mix pineapple juice and grape juice with strawberries. Add Kool aid and stir well.
If desired pour some into a mold and freeze for an ice ring. This can be made ahead of time and chilled as well.
Just before serving add ginger ale. Garnish with strawberries if desired.
TANGY SHOWER PUNCH
2 cans (6 oz.each) frozen limeade
2 cans (6 oz. each) frozen lemonade
2 cans (6 oz. each) frozen orange juice
2 qts. cold water
Chill above mixed ingredients.
At the shower add 2 qts. chilled ginger ale to the mix. You may have to use two containers dividing equally. Pour into punch bowl.
Should make 60 servings in punch cups.
SHOWER PUNCH
1 bottle ginger ale
1/2 gallon pineapple juice
1/2 gallon orange juice
1/2 gallon white grape juice
1 pint rainbow sherbert
Shortly before the shower, mix all the chilled juices and ginger ale. Then drop scoops of sherbert! Enjoy!
