Recipe: Ranger Joe Cookies (using oats, corn flakes and nuts or coconut)

RANGER JOE COOKIES
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup white granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup quick cooking oatmeal, uncooked
2 cups corn flakes
1 cup chopped nuts (or coconut)
Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix in shortening, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla. Stir in oats, corn flakes, and nuts. Drop by spoonful about 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 11-12 minutes.
Makes about 8 dozen cookies
