Recipe: Rice Krispies Pie (similar to pecan pie filling)

RICE KRISPIES PIE

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup light Karo corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 cup Rice Krispies cereal
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Add syrup and salt; beat well. Add eggs, one at a time beating after each.

Stir in Rice Krispies. Pour into 9-inch unbaked pie crust

Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until knife comes out clean when testing.

Hi Kathy,

This looks like it might be the recipe you're looking for. The temperature wasn't given for this recipe. My suggestion is to bake it at 350 degrees F (it may take less time) and if it seems to be browning too fast back the temperature down to 325F.
