Recipe: Stir-Fried Prawns with XO Sauce
Misc.Found a couple more on the back of the others that I'm not interested in making due to some of the ingredients, but I thought I'd post them seeing Eggy's mum thinks XO sauce goes well with seafood.
STIR-FRIED PRAWNS WITH XO SAUCE
400g(about 14oz) medium prawns(shrimp), shelled & deveined
130g(4 1/2oz) celery, cut into strips
1/2 carrot, cut into strips
2 stalks spring(green) onion, sectioned
1/4cup Lee Kum Kee XO sauce
2tbsps(8tsps) oyster sauce
1tsp sesame oil
1tbsp(4 tsps) minced ginger
1tsp sugar
1tsp cornflour(cornstarch)
1tbsp(4tsps) peanut oil
Clean prawns, slit at back, wipe dry & mix with oyster sauce, sesame oil, ginger, sugar & cornflour(cornstarch). Let marinade 10mins. Cook prawns in hot oil for 2mins, remove & set aside. Saute celery, carrot & spring onion till fragrant, using mor oil if necessary. Add prawns & XO sauce. Mix well & serve. Serves 4 banquet style
