Recipe(tried): Stuffed French Toast

Here is a stuffed french toast recipe that you bake in the oven. Maybe you can adapt your recipe to bake, or try this one.
Stuffed French Toast
8 oz cream cheese softened
1/2 cup crushed pineapple
1/2 cup toasted pecan pieces
16 oz loaf of french or italian bread
8 large eggs
2 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla
12 oz apricot preserves
1 cup orange juice
Beat cream cheese aand pineapple until mixture is light and fluffy. Stir in pecan pieces. Slice bread into 12 1 - 1 1/2" slices. Spread the cream cheese mixture onto bread. Put two slices together, with cream cheese in center(sandwich style). Place in a lightly greased 9x13 pan. Mix eggs, milk, and vanilla. Pour over bread. Let stand in refrigerator at least 1 hour or up to overnight. Bake at 350 45 - 50 minutes or until set. Heat orange juice and appriot preserves until preserves are melted. Serve with french toast. Make 6 servings.
