Recipe(tried): sugar cookie sprinkles

Teri, I just got back on-line after being off for 3 weeks. When I make sugar
cookies that I don't want to frost I paint a mixture of white corn syrup and
water (1/2 & 1/2) over the unbaked cut out cookies VERY LIGHTLY, then put on
the sprinkles. The sprinkles stay put and are very pretty. By the way, when I
roll out the cookie dough, I do it as soon as the dough is mixed. I roll it
out between sheets of wax paper, chill on a cookie sheet, then loosen the paper
(top & bottom)before cutting out the cookies. Much less mess, and easier than
rolling out chilled dough.
