Recipe: Texas Shrimp Soup (1949)
SoupsTEXAS SHRIMP SOUP
1 onion, minced fine
1 clove garlic, minced fine
1 tomato, peeled and chopped
2 tablespoons butter
3 raw potatoes, diced
1 cup dried shrimp
Salt and pepper (to taste)
2 cloves
2 cups milk
3 cups water
Mix the onion, garlic and tomato and cook in the butter until tender.
Add the potatoes, shrimp, salt, pepper and cloves. Pour milk and water in pan. Cover and cook gently until the potatoes are tender.
Makes 4-5 servings
