Recipe: Thanks for letting me know dearest Betsy! I am delighted with my new toy.
Misc.I have used it only once because it arrived recently. I roasted three filet mignons (the whole tenderloin) using the meat rack in the way that you roast big cuts of beef, pork or chicken or turkey. The tenderloins were marinated since the previous day. I cut the tenderloins as for preparing a Chateaubriand. I cleaned the marinade & used my special rub, & placed the three tenderloins side by side in the rack. I cooked them on high & used the thermometer included in the kit. When they were 150 F, I took them out & let then rest for 15 minutes. After that I sliced them following the grain & they were medium rare (perfect)! I served them with a galette of potatoes, crushed pinenuts, & cream & a simple green salad with my favorite balsamic pear vinaigrette.
Everybody was delighted with the dinner, specially because this new product produces the desired golden color in your roasts equal to the one you can get from an oven or grill.
At this time because this is a new product it is a little bit expensive ($110.00 & the freight) but it is wonderful.
Thanks dearest friend & I hope for you & dear Bob a wonderful new year & many gifts of health love & prosperity in the Epyphany Day (Tres Reyes Magos celebration).
Tu amiga,
Gladys
