Recipe(tried): this is how I did it (cookie exchange)

Misc.

NO! no hubby's and only preschool kids! hehe make it FUN for the ladies!

Really kidding side ... who are the neighbors you wish to invite -- are they home duing the day? if so make it like mid-morning till before the kidergarteners come home
or if they work what aobut saturday morning?
I had one once where I asked the ladies (we all had kindergarteners) to come and bring one more dozen cookies than there were ladies comming. I had 5 plus me that made 6 so I had them bring 6-7 dozen of their favorite cookies I even asked them to wrap each dozen seperatly then we sampled the extra dozen and took home a plate from each lady -- at home then we could rearrange and share as gifts if we wanted or use for a party or whatever I also had each bring the recipe and we sat and shared recipes drank tea and coofee and visited -- I had extra recipe cards and pens handy -- this worked really well and not any kind of work for me -- You could serve lunch or whatever but really the idea is to visit and exchange cookies so that worked well for us ....
good luck let us know what you do and run a search ... we've talked aobut this before I think :)
