This recipe was taken from Woman's Day Magazine in the 50's, it may not be what you are looking for but it is the best I have ever tasted.
Hawaiian Banana Bread
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
3 bananas=(1 cup, smashed)
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
Sift dry ingredients together, place all other ingredients in bowl and whip with mixer. Fold in dry ingerdients quickly. Put in greased and floured 9X3 loaf pan Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. I add a cup of chopped walnuts.
I receive many compliments and requests for this recipe. It is a dark moist bread.
