WYOMING WHOPPER COOKIES
2/3 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups chunky peanut butter
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3 eggs, slightly beaten
6 cups old-fashioned oats
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 cups raisins
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease cookie sheets.
Melt butter and blend in peanut butter, sugars, and eggs; mixing well. Add oats, baking soda, raisins, chocolate chips. Mixture will be sticky. Drop on prepared cookie sheet with an ice cream scoop or large spoon. Flatten slightly.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes for a 3 inch cookie. Allow to slightly cool before removing to cooling rack.
TWO HINTS FOR BETTER COOKIES:
Use a small ice cream scoop with a release handle to make nicely rounded drop cookies. Also if you bake chocolate chip cookies in a 300 degree oven they will stay chewy.
Makes about 2 dozen cookies
