ISO: Adding Things to Bread

Misc.
Anyone have experience adding healthy extras while making bread in a bread machine -- things like ground flax seed and certain powdered vitamins or herbal supplements? (I realize pills or capsules are an option.) Is there a general rule about what is heat-stable or not? Thanks.
