ISO: Baked apples stacked in a pyramid with red candy glaze

Misc.
I lost my recipe for baked apples, which were then stacked on a serving plate with a pedestal in a pyramid. A red candy glaze was poured over the apples, or maybe the apples were "candied" in a pan?? Then the pyramid was sprinkled with powdered sugar. It was a spectacular-looking dessert, perfect for fall. I have searched many internet sites and many cookbooks, and I cannot find anything like this recipe. I believe I cut it out of a magazine, but I don't know which magazine. This would be probably in the 1970's when I first found the recipe. I would really appreciate it if anyone might share this recipe if they have it, or point me in the right direction to find it. Thanks!!
