Recipe(tried): Growing a Pineapple Plant/Pineapple

Tips and Tricks - Home and Garden
I have a pineapple plant, which I have grown from a pineapple that I purchased from a grocery store. The plant is 2-3 years of age, and has a beautiful pineapple which is aproximately 5 months old now. It has not reached maturity ripeness yet, but it is beautiful, and I am excited about the blessing God has given to me& looking forward to it getting ripe, so I can taste it. I have taken pictures of it, & the newspaper has done an article on it. I grew a pineapple plant before this one, which was 8 years old & was beautiful, but it never grew a pineapple. I lost it to frost one year, because I put it outside too soon. The pineapple plant I have now also had two plants that came up under this one, which I planted into another pot, & I gave one to my Mom, & one to my pastor. They are living great, but have not yet produced a pineapple. My understanding is that they should, so I have told them to watch out for theirs to produce. I have showed it off to many people, because it really is a miracle to me from God. Don't know if I'll be able to grow another one, but I'm thrilled & excited about this one!!
