ISO: Baked Lima Beans

I am searching for a recipe my grandmother used to make, it was a bbq baked lima beans, like a boston baked bean but using limas. It wasn't the normal BBQ sauce that you think of when you buy BBQ sauce. It has a strong onion, and bacon taste to it, and it is in a tomato based sauce (not tomato like spaghetti sauce, more of a bbq flavor). She would bake it slowly in her bean pot. Any one have a recipe for this or something close?
