ISO: banana cream torte

This torte consisted of two cake-like layers split in half, filled with a banana cream filling, frosted with whipped cream or Cool Whip and fresh banana slices. The "cake" was denser than a regular cake, with chopped nuts (pecans, I think) in the batter.

The recipe is from the early 70's.
