ISO: Buttermilk recipe
Misc. Hi Friends.
I'm new here. I found your site while serching for recipes. I used to collect cookbooks. Now that I have access to a computer, I collect recipes.
A long while ago, I used to have a recipe for making buttermilk by taking 1 cup of buttermilk and adding it to 2 quarts of reconstituted non-fat dry milk. Then you were supposed to let it sit for a while. The end result was 2 quarts of buttermilk. I can't remember how long the milk was supposed to sit at room temperature. If someone out there can provide the details, I would be very happy.:-)
