ISO: caper sandwich spread

Misc.
I am trying to find a recipe for a sandwich spread that has capers, parmesan, a little mayo, some kind of cheese like cream cheese (maybe mascarpone?), and maybe garlic, lemon ??? The consistency is thick like a spread, not a dip, and was served as an appetizer atop thinly shaved beef on crostini. The woman who brought the dish would not share her recipe...BOOOOO! I sure hope someone here has some idea of what I'm talking about! Any and all help will be appreciated!

Thanks!
