ISO: conversation chocolate cake (using coffee and vinegar)

Years ago the Boston Globe Newspaper had a chat forum and quite often chatters requested a repeat recipe that was a favorite of readers called "conversation chocolate cake" All I remember about it is some of the ingredients called for were coffee and vinegar. If anyone has a recipe they think might match I would appreciate their sending it along. Thank you.
