ISO: Dried Strawberries

Has anyone dried strawberries succesfully in the oven? I have a plastic type grid that came with my micro-convec oven several years ago, but do not have that oven any more. I do have a oven that convects or bakes now. I do not want to go out and buy a dehydrator. My book said that strawberries are not a great fruit to dry, but I like the dried strawberries in the Strawberry Cheerios and I need that source of fiber.
