Recipe(tried): Dried Strawberries

My experience with drying strawberries was that they were too tart. I personally did not care for them. They didn't taste anything like the ones in the box of cereal. You can dip fruit into sugar or honey before drying.
As for the oven drying, normally, the door needs to be propped open to allow for moisture to escape. I know the convection has a fan, so you wouldn't need to have a fan in front of the door like a regular oven. I have a convection oven, but have not tried using it as a dehydrator.
