ISO: Filipino Rice Candy

When I was a child, a Filipino neighbor used to make a gelatinus sweet rice candy. He cooked it for hours in a huge pot outside over a fire, stirring almost constantly. It was wonderful. I have moved across country and lost touch with his family and would love to find the recipe to make it myslef. Anyone know what it is?
