ISO: Hot Tamales Candy

I am looking for a homemade "Hot Tamales" recipe. I love them hot and even the new super hot ones aren't hot enough for me. It would be great fun for my family and me to make them to our specs. If anyone has a recipe they are willing to share, we would be very grateful! - also i am looking for a cinnamon "pickle" recipe. these are carrot sticks "pickled" in a ret hot candy brine. I had an elderly friend years ago who made them for me but the recipe seems to have passed away w/ her.
