ISO: I Want to Have a Small Luncheon

Misc.
I am having a small luncheon for my office team members, at my home (December 19, 2003). There are 11 people total - some men, mostly ladies. I'd like to prepare something other than the normal soup, sandwich and salad but nothing that takes a lot of time.

Menu doesn't have to be heavy but should also be sufficient for people that are going to eat late dinners. Not too much tomato-ey items (some of the people suffer with aid reflux).

Loking to prepare two or three main dishes (chicken, turkey or beef included, two different salads, a vegetable dish or casserole and something sweet (ex.,possibly a jello-cream cheese layered mold or individual chocolate chip, coconut and pecan bars. I am open to all the help I can get).

Haven't done this before and would like it to turn out nice. HELP. I need ideas. I live alone and cook for one so this will be a challenge and a "thank you" to individuals that were wonderful to me when I was out sick.

Age group of the team members is 37 to 56.
Thank you so very much, in advance.
