ISO: I'm looking for a corn side dish recipe

it is made with corn and is a little spicy I think. I have no idea of the spelling but it sounds like "mock shoe". If someone has something like this I would appreciate your help and also would like to know if this is a southern dish or south west or ? I know that Rachael Ray has made it on her show but because I do not know the spelling I cannot look it up. Thanks for any help.
