ISO: Italian Strudel?

Years ago, my Italian grandmother (originally from Calabria) made a pastry that is similar to a strudel with raisins, chopped walnuts, chopped maraschino cherries in a dough that was rolled up. My mother thinks there might have been oregano and olive oil added as well. My mother and I never got the recipe before she died and I would love to make it for my family. Does anyone have a recipe for anything similar? I would sure appreciate it. Thanks!
