ISO: jell-o strawberries

Misc.
I'm trying to find a recipe for a kind of candy strawberry my mom used to make using jell-o, condensed or evaporated milk, and coconut (I think)...she would shape the mixture into a strawberry shape, roll it in red colored sugar and put green-dyed almond slivers on top for the stems. She doesnt remember the recipe and we cant find it anywhere. It was a massive hit at parties, so pleeeease help if you have any ideas. We tried the Jell-o website with no luck. Thanks everyone
