ISO: liqueur ambrosia for ice cream, cake etc

Misc.
My grandmother had a ambrosia recipe that she left on her kitchen counter lightly covered. Over the months it turn to a liqueur and she servered it over ice cream or cake. She had to add fruit to it each month, like canned pineapple, cherries, etc. Please if anyone has this recipe I would greatly appreciate it, my grandmother has been long gone but not the taste for this great dessert.
