ADOBE, MEXICAN SMOKED CHILI MARINADE
3 oranges, juice of
1 lime, juice of
2 canned chipotle chiles, chopped
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 tbsp wine vinegar
2 tsp crushed oregano
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp each salt and ground black pepper (or to taste)
Combine all ingredients in blender. Puree until smooth.
Makes enough marinade for l l/2 to 2 pounds meat or chicken
