ISO: Looking for a special Italian bread receipe

I am looking for an Italian bread receipe. My husband is an Italain and there is some type of bread that you roll meat up in it to make a bread roll. I was wondering if anyone new what I am talking about. He has had it before but can't remember how it was made or what it was called. So if anyone could help that would be great. We are trying to do an Italian Christmas.
