ISO: need ideas for daughter's voice recital/reception

Misc.
Hi! My daughter has asked me to "cater" her voice recital. She is in college, and is looking for "elegant and fun". We rented a champagne fountain today and I plan to make a "mock champagne punch". The recital is at 2:30pm on a Sunday afternoon in May. Afterwards there will be a reception. It will last approx. 1 1/2 hours. There is a small kitchin with limited refrigeration space...and I don't think that "hot foods" will be an option. We are thinking mostly finger foods. However, some of the people coming for this will be driving several hours, and we would like it to be substantial enough to serve as a meal for them. We plan to have a variety of foods, and have already thought of fruit mini shishkobs, a variety of bars and cookies....but are looking for room temperature finger foods. What do you think of vegie pizza slices? We will also have a vegie tray. What would you think of the "mini croissants...like at Sam's club" with filling? My niece is getting married in a year and has asked me to work with the family to "cater" her reception.
I thought some of these things will be practice.
LOL. Thank you all in advance. Oh....the music will be a combination of opera, jazz, and some showtunes.
