ISO: Old Fashion Carrot Soup

Misc.
Does anyone have a recipe for carrot soup, the way that our Grandmothers used to make it...I know it is not the one that has to be pureed.

I want to surprise Hubby, his grandmother always made this soup for him when he was little.

Thanks,
Melanie
