Recipe(tried): Gutshot Stool Stew (microwave casserole)

Main Dishes - Casseroles
GUTSHOT STOOL STEW
(a layered casserole)

1 slice bread, untoasted
1 Tablespoon mayonnaise
1 cup pitted black olives
1 (15 oz) can hot chili
1 cup brown gravy
3/4 cup tomato juice

Spread bread with mayonnaise. Pinch bread into thumbnail size pieces and place in a 1.5 quart casserole.

Place olives over bread. Pour chili over olives. Pour gravy over chili. Microwave until hot. Pour tomato juice over casserole.

NOTE: The hot chili works better because it is thicker. Also, the mayonnaise tends to mask the spices in the chili; regular chili produces a bland casserole.
