ISO: Pernicky - Czech gingerbread recipe

Misc.
I am looking for a recipe for Czech gingerbread, which I believe is called Pernicky. My mother used to buy these from a bakery in an old Czech neighborhood. This was many years ago when I was a child but I never forgot how much I loved them. The bakery made them as a thick, large cookie usually cut out in the shape of a Santa and I remember only seeing them at Christmas time at this bakery. The cookie is light in color and has a wonderful aroma and taste. There must be other spices in the dough besides ginger. I have tried other gingerbread recipes but never found one to duplicate this particular cookie.

Thank you for any help you can give me.
