ISO: Quince paste or Ate de Membrillo

I am looking for a recipe to make (quince paste) Mexican style Ate de membrillo. I have found several on the internet but the candy does not come out right. If anyone has a complete recipe for this candy I would appreciate it very much. I am new to cooking candy so please be very detailed in how to do.
