ISO: recipe for a maple donut

I have met many people and the majority of them have no idea what a maple donut is. I originate from California. Most people from the west coast know what i'm i'm talking about when i say a maple donut. "Most" people from other parts of the states and germany just don't get it. I have been craving a maple donut since i've been in Germany, so i decided to take the initiative and make them myself. i just need the recipe. So if you can help me out that would be great.
