ISO: Rice, cooked in the oven or crockpot.

Misc.
For our family Christmas celebration we are having a very non-traditional meal, since everyone will be having turkey for thanksgiving.
When the kids were growing up, they loved pork roast with rice and gravy (instead of mashed potatoes and gravy)So that is what I am preparing.
There will be 13 of us and I was thinking it would be a lot easier to cook the rice in the crockpot or oven. I saw an oven recipe once, but don't remember when or where.
Can anyone help?
