ISO: Rock cakes mother from Queensland; had them as young woman--in the 1930's

Misc.
My mother is originally from Brisbane, Australia. She was a war bride and came to the States in 1945. She talked about a dessert she used to love called "rock cakes". I was looking for a recipe so I could have them one night as a surprise. Would appreciate any recipes for this. She would have had them probably in the 1930's.
