ISO: Shelf life of bottled blueberry jam

Misc.

Hello;

I have 12 bottles of homemade bottled blueberry
jam and it dates back to Nov 1997. I took the lid
off one bottle and it appears to be ok. The top
of the jam looks a little dry but otherwise it
looks ok.

What is the approx. shelf life of bottled jams
and, would this jam be considered unsafe to eat
after 5 years?

Thank you;
Dave
