Recipe: New England Squares (using mincemeat, Borden's recipe card, 1960's)

NEW ENGLAND SQUARES

2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 1/3 cups (15 oz. can) sweetened condensed milk
1 1/3 cups Ready-to-Use None Such Mince Meat*

Stir all ingredients together and turn into a well greased (9x13x2-inch) baking pan.

Bake in 350 degree F oven until lightly browned, about 30 minutes. Let cool in pan before cutting.

*One (9 oz.) package None Such Condensed Mince Meat may be used. Crumble Mince Meat into small-sized saucepan and stir in 3/4 cup water, place over medium heat and, stirring constantly, bring mixture to a boil and boil 1 minute. Makes 1 1/3 cups mince meat.

Makes 24 (2-inch) squares.
