ISO: Yule Log Cake

My husband's ex-mother-in-law was French and made a Yule Log cake every Christmas that he dearly loved. I have tried a few recipes, but can't come up with one similar to hers. It had a mocha frosting, but the cake itself is a mystery. Many thanks.
