Thank You: Jackie, for this authentic but simple menu!
Misc. The book looks well worth finding, I will see if the library will order it, or perhaps they even have it already.
Glad the rain has stopped for you. We are having a heat wave, it supposed to cool down a few degrees starting tomorrow, and then much cooler by the end of the week.
I made a picnic dinner (pasta salad with sundried tomatoes, roasted multi-coloured peppers, olives and sweet onion, grilled lemon herb chicken, watermelon, lemonade, and a raspberry loaf cake) and we went to a nearby lake for dinner and a loverly swim yesterday. It was wonderful timing, to get there for about 5 p.m.; the sea of humanity from earlier in the day was clearing out to go home, and we had our choice of spots! Most refreshing; we are planning to go again in a few days (mid-week), it really did the trick!
I hope you get out and enjoy the local colour, now that it has stopped raining. Of course, we Vancouverites are impermeable ...if we didn't go out in the rain, heck, we would scarcely go out at all!
Thanks again, I am going to search for that book now (I would some day love to see San Miguel de Allende...it looks charming, too; an artist's colony, from what I understand.)
Carolyn!
