Mike thanks for bringing back such good memories of my own fathers workplace also-a baker for 20+years ...
He worked there from the 50's till it was shut down .I and my brothers were sooo privileged to get the christmas fruitcake , cookies & most anything we desired ... day old breads were also par for the course .Dad is still around at 86yrs -still playing golf w/ one other remaining fellow helmsman. Speaking of "helmsman"-the statue is currently relocated at the Marina del Rey -burton chase park .
