Thank You: thank-you so much, Gina!

Misc.
You are very sweet to take the time to give me some pointers!

I am feeling better already! I went to Splenda.ca, I think maybe the products are labeled a bit differently here. But anyway, I got my stash of Splenda, and it will do me for quite a while. I don't really have much of a sweet tooth, but I did pick up some sugar-free pudding yesterday as well. Thought it might be fun to give it a try. I downloaded an eating guide for how to stick to 1400 calories/day. I can fudge the carbs and protein they recommend a bit, because I weight-train 3 times a week. But I can't say enuf good about adding a meal; it is easy to do, and I eat less at dinner. I still have to cook a mountain of food for my fellas! But, it has (finally!) dawned on me...I can't keep up with them, spoonful to spoonful. So I am counting the calories until I get used to what is a more appropriate portion size for me, compared to loading it in with a backhoe, like they do!

I have not been garage sale-ing. Around here, 'tis not the season! There are a few moving sales, but spring-into-summer is the motherload for sales in my neck of the woods.

In my book group we a reading "Loud and Clear", by Anna Quindlen. Our group has evolved into a casual discussion, compared to years ago when we began. Back then, we worked through quite strenuous books with lots of homework. Now, we look for things we can read a chapter together, and then discuss afterword. If you are not familiar with Anna Quindlen, I have a wonderful movie for you. "One true thing", with Meryl Streep and Renee Zellweger. It is based on the book by Anna Quindlen. You can get it at the video store, it's a few years old by now.

My regular reading is usually psychological thrillers. I just love them bad guys, and the guys and gals who bring them to justice. So far removed from my white-bread suburban life. DH says...no wonder you have nightmares, look at what you read. What can I say, I'm just hooked!

Anyway, better get moving...that kitchen floor is not going to wash itself (more's the pity!)

Have a lovely day, my friend,

Carolyn!
